It is best to bake and enjoy our casseroles within 3 months of purchase.
-
It's always safest to thaw foods in the refrigerator, not at room temperature. You may need 24 hours to completely thaw before cooking. Bring to room temperature by removing your casserole from the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before baking.
-
Sure you can. Just allow about double the cooking time as noted on your instructions. You may want to cover with foil for a little bit to ensure you don't burn the top.
-
All ovens bake differently. When your casserole is bubbly around the edges, insert an instant-read thermometer at an angle in its center, being careful not to touch the sides or bottom of your dish. For best flavor and food safety, a casserole needs to be heated to 160°F.
Our delicious soups can be reheated to a safe temperature by bringing it to a rolling boil in a covered saucepan. -
Well, only if you're starving! But it's best to allow your casserole to "sit" for several minutes after it comes out of the oven for better texture and flavor. Giving it that extra time to firm up will allow it to hold a "cut edge" a little better and keep it from running into its partners on the plate! This is especially true with hot and cheesy dishes and our layered casseroles.
